With Remote Desktop connection you’re able to remotely log on your work PC from home. If more people log on to for example a terminal server with different credentials it can be annoying that end users are able to ‘save credentials’. With the next steps you can turn this option off.
do not show save credentials RDP
This is how it looks with ‘allow me to save credentials’ on:
This option could be a security breach. If someone accidentally turns this on other users will be able to log on with his/her name.
Now, go to start and type in ‘gpedit.msc’.
This is the screen you’ll get:
- User Configuration
- Administrative Templates
- Windows Components
- Remote Desktop Services
- choose the option Remote Desktop Connection Client in the left side pane of the Group Policy editor
Double click ‘do not allow passwords to be saved’ and set this option to ‘enabled’.
Goodluck with ‘do not show save credentials RDP’
